Classes for Parents & Kids

  • Newborn Care – Parents-to-be are invited to register for the Newborn Care class offered by Willis-Knighton. This class is an excellent resource for first-time parents and a refresher for those expecting another baby.  To see available classes, click here.
  • Growing Up for Girls – This class is an introduction to the physical and emotional changes associated with puberty. It is designed for girls age 9 through 12.
  • Growing Up for Boys – This class is an introduction to the physical and emotional changes associated with puberty. It is designed for boys age 9 through 12.

Information for Parents & Kids

Willis-Knighton offers KidsHealth, a specialized website that offers information written for three audiences:  parent, child, teen.  This site deals with typical health and wellness issues and is designed to help you educate your child with articles, videos and games that are age-appropriate. 

Overnight Accommodations

Willis-Knighton offers overnight accommodations at The Arbors apartment adjacent to the Willis-Knighton South campus at short-stay apartments. These are provided to support parents who have a child in NICU or PICU and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact patient advocate to request this service.
