To Our Patients

I want to prayerfully welcome you to Willis-Knighton. A stay in the hospital can be stressful and an interruption of your daily life. Sometimes it is a crisis that will require healing in several areas. For many of us, our spiritual and religious life will be an important part of that healing. Our mission at Willis-Knighton is to continuously improve the health and well-being of the people we serve.

We believe the spiritual and religious aspects of our lives are an integral part of that. If you are a member of a church, synagogue or faith community, we encourage you to inform your clergy or minister when you are in the hospital. A visit from the minister who normally cares for your spiritual needs may be just what we need to facilitate your recovery.

It would be our privilege to offer you spiritual services from one of our Willis-Knighton pastoral care ministers. You can request spiritual services upon admission or you can ask your nurse or caregiver any time during your stay. If you request someone to come and pray with you, we will do our best to have one of our pastoral care volunteers or chaplains see you within 24 hours. If there is an urgent need or a crisis situation, let your nurse or caregiver know and we will come as soon as possible.

Your spiritual and pastoral care is very important to Willis-Knighton. Please feel free to contact me especially if you have comments or suggestions about how we can improve our Spiritual Life Services.

God’s peace,
