We are here not only to deliver healthcare services to patients but to do so in a courteous, helpful and respectful manner. You may not be able to evaluate a person’s technical expertise, but you do know when an employee has gone out of his or her way to do something, to be helpful, to answer your questions and to treat you with respect. This is what Gold Star Service is all about.
We reward employees who have been recognized for this type of service with gold stars for their badges. If you’ve observed gold star service, you are invited to nominate that employee for a Gold Star. If you like, you can also nominate an entire department or area of the hospital.
Nomination forms are located throughout the hospital in display boxes. These forms may be returned to the boxes or mailed from home postage paid. If you prefer, you may nominate someone using the form online.
