GE StarGuide SPECT/CT
Willis Knighton Nuclear Oncology is one of the first in the U.S. to install the GE StarGuide SPECT/CT system. The system provides high resolution imaging to monitor the delivery of targeted radiopharmaceutical treatments to cancer cells throughout the body. Radiopharmaceuticals are used to diagnose and treat each cancer with precision.
The system’s 12 CZT digital focus detectors adjust to fit each patient’s shape and size. Optimized for theranostic procedures, the detectors provide unsurpassed image quality in less than half the time compared to traditional SPECT systems. Considerably faster imaging makes the process more comfortable for patients and gives clinicians more accurate quantitative imaging, which allows for more precise evaluation and customization of radiopharmaceutical therapy.
Technologies such as the GE StarGuide SPECT/CT system strengthen our role as one of the nation’s leading radiation oncology programs. It reflects our fundamental values at Willis Knighton:
-
Increased efficiency
- Increased patient comfort and safety
- Enhanced accuracy
- Decreased patient risk
