Relapse Prevention
Because 40 to 60 percent of addicted people relapse after any given period of sobriety, relapse prevention is a critical part of our program. Chemical dependence is often defined as a disease of chronic relapse and that is why we focus on all areas of our patients’ lives, including relationship, occupational, emotional, and spiritual issues. All patients develop and maintain a relapse prevention plan prior to discharge from this program.
Patients who complete the program and regularly attend our after-care meeting have an average relapse rate less than 40% in the first six months of sobriety.
