The ROSA® Robotic Knee System was developed by surgeons for surgeons, creating a system designed to offer real time information to help surgeons assure precision placement of knee implants. With the robotic intelligence platform, the surgeons
have the data they need to analyze and place the knee implant to conform to each patient’s unique anatomy.
Getting a precise knee implant fit is important to a patient’s overall comfort and surgical experience. Data is collected before and during the surgery to be sure the surgeon has all the details he or she needs that may affect the fit of the implant.
The software is very much like the global positioning system used in vehicles. If the leg moves just a fraction of an inch during surgery, the sensitive equipment detects that movement and adjusts.
