At the NICU Graduate Clinic, pediatric rehabilitation therapists evaluate developmental skills for newborns, infants and children. The goal of the clinic is to help your child achieve age-appropriate milestones and to provide education or therapy as early as possible to help your child stay on track. The trained pediatric rehabilitation therapist works closely with caregivers and pediatricians to ensure all of your child’s needs are met. Case management and community referrals are provided, as well.

Evaluation and treatment of the following areas are provided:

  • Fine motor skills
  • Gross motor skills
  • Speech skills
  • Feeding and oral motor skills
  • Torticollis
  • Positioning and tummy time
  • Orthopedic conditions
  • Neurobehavioral
  • Sensory processing
  • Play development

Upon discharge from the NICU, each infant is scheduled to attend this program where he or she will be evaluated by a physical therapist, occupational therapist or speech language pathologist for continued appropriate development.
