Magy Eskander, MD, has joined Willis Knighton Eye Institute North, part of the Willis Knighton Physician Network. Specializing in cataract surgery, she also treats common diseases of the eye, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eyes and ocular surface diseases. She prides herself on taking time to understand each patient as an individual, so she can customize the best treatment plan.
Born in Luxor, Egypt, Dr. Eskander and her family immigrated to Shreveport in 1996. She earned a degree in biochemistry with a minor in physics at Centenary College of Louisiana before receiving her medical degree from LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas in Houston.
Away from the office, Dr. Eskander loves international travel and learning about different cultures and histories.
Dr. Eskander accepts new patients and most insurance plans.
