Howard Murray, MD, has joined WK Red River Pulmonary Critical Care, part of the Willis Knighton Physician Network. He cares for patients who are facing some of the most serious and challenging conditions in medicine: severe infections, shock, pneumonia and sudden trouble breathing – whether it’s a sudden crisis or an ongoing condition.
Dr. Murray became interested in medicine as a child when he watched a family member struggle with a respiratory condition he didn’t understand. That early curiosity deepened and led him to pursue a career in medicine.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at San Diego, and a medical doctorate at Michigan State University in East Lansing. He completed his internship and residency at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, and a fellowship in pulmonary critical care medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
During his spare time, Dr. Murray enjoys gardening, woodworking and golfing. He also paints landscapes and has exhibited his art at a gallery in Ruston.
Dr. Murray accepts new patients and most insurance plans.
