Willis-Knighton Health System has a state-of-the-art Histocompatibility Laboratory (HLA). The surgeons affiliated with The John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center also perform complex hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery, endocrine surgery, vascular access surgery, as well as robotic and minimally invasive surgeries through their Advanced Surgery Center.

  Occasionally transplant patients require more than a transplant alone. The surgeons of the John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center perform additional procedures that include endocrine surgery, hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery, and vascular access for dialysis.
• Bariatric Surgery
  Some patients may be required to lose weight prior to transplantation. The Metabolic Surgery Center is accredited by the American Society for Metabollic and Bariatric Surgery.
