Institutional Ethics Committee of the Willis-Knighton Health System

The Institutional Ethics Committee of Willis-Knighton Health System is an interdisciplinary group of healthcare providers, community representatives, and nonmedical professionals. They are formally charged by the health system’s board of trustees with intra-institutional education, community education, policy development, and case consultation in ethical decisions and policies that may arise in clinical care at Willis-Knighton.

The Institutional Ethics Committee is comprised of 18 members. One half of the members of the Committee are physicians who serve in active status and good standing on one of the medical staffs of Willis-Knighton Health System. One half of the members are nonphysicians who represent nonphysician healthcare providers, community representatives, and nonmedical professionals.
