Newsweek World’s Best Hospitals 2022
Quality is essential to us at Willis-Knighton and to you. That’s why we were pleased to learn that Newsweek ranked Willis-Knighton the best hospital in Louisiana in its selection of World’s Best Hospitals 2022. There are 6,000 hospitals in the U.S. and only eight in Louisiana were included. Willis-Knighton was the highest ranked in Louisiana and the only North Louisiana hospital to make the Newsweek list. Willis-Knighton Medical Center comprises four award-winning hospitals: Willis-Knighton Medical Center-North, Willis-Knighton South, WK Pierremont Health Center and WK Bossier Health Center.
Data sources used for the rating included recommendations from peers, patient experience and medical key performance indicators like quality of care, hygiene measures and patient safety.
U.S. News & World Report High-Performing Procedures and Conditions
U.S. News & World Report rates Willis-Knighton Medical Center as high performing in 8 adult procedures and conditions in its 2023-24 rankings.
WK was listed No. 1 in North Louisiana and was ranked as High Performing in these categories:
- Colon cancer surgery
- Heart attack
- Heart bypass surgery
- Heart failure
- Hip replacement
- Knee replacement
- Pneumonia
- Stroke
Willis-Knighton is the only hospital in North Louisiana to be among the top five in the state.

Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR)
Respiratory care at Willis-Knighton was awarded this designation from the American Association for Respiratory Care. Only 10% of hospitals in the United States received this award.

Forbes 2021 America’s Best-in-State Employers Louisiana
Independent surveys by Forbes and Statista Inc. assessed companies employing at least 500 people according to their atmosphere and development, company image, working conditions, salaries and wages, and diversity. Willis-Knighton has received this state-level award two consecutive years.
