Kathryn A. Gayle, MD, a native of Shreveport, has joined the Willis-Knighton Physician Network and has opened a new specialty clinic, Advanced Cardiac Imaging. She is the first specialist in the region to provide cardiac imaging expertise and consultation to assist other cardiologists in determining treatment options for patients with complex diagnoses.

Dr. Gayle earned her medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine after graduating from LSU in Baton Rouge with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and two secondary degrees.

She completed an internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Gayle continued specialty training at the same location with a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine, followed by a fellowship in advanced cardiac and structural imaging. She simultaneously earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in teaching, learning and leading at Lipscomb University in Nashville. Dr. Gayle is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.

WK Advanced Cardiac Imaging is located in Suite 216 at the WK Heart Vascular Institute, 2727 Hearne Ave. Dr. Gayle accepts patients by physician referral and welcomes most insurance plans.
