Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
This test is used to measure how alert you are during a normal day. MWT displays whether or not a patient has the ability to stay awake for a defined amount of time. The test indicates how well one has the ability to function and remain alert in quiet times of inactivity.
MWT is concerned with the patient’s ability to stay awake rather than how fast he or she falls asleep. The test determines how well the subject is able to stay awake after starting treatment and whether he or she is too fatigued to complete daily tasks.
Breakfast and lunch are served during this test.
