Willis-Knighton Hyperbaric & Wound Care Center treat patients with chronic wounds that are often the result of diabetes and vascular disease but that may be caused by injury.
- Diabetic ulcers
- Arterial ulcers caused by a lack of blood flow to the wound
- Pressure ulcers caused by sitting or lying in the same position for long periods of time
- Hard-to-heal surgical wounds
- Venous stasis ulcers formed when veins in the legs do not remove fluid efficiently
- Soft tissue ulcers resulting from radiation treatment
- Bone infections
- Skin grafts
- Carbon monoxide poisoning
- Cyanide poisoning
- Smoke inhalation
- Gas gangrene
- Decompression sickness
