Awards, Interests, Qualification
Dr. Master was chief fellow, hematology and oncology, at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport.
Prior to joining Hematology/Oncology Associates, Dr. Master was associate professor of medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine, Section of Hematology and Oncology. He served as associate program director of the hematology and oncology fellowship program at LSUHSC-S, assistant director of clinical research at Feist-Weiller Cancer Center and director of the oncology clinic at Ochsner LSU in Monroe.
Cancer research led to Dr. Master being coauthor of more than 25 articles in peer-reviewed journals and more than 50 abstracts. He has presented research findings orally and in poster presentations at many national conferences. Dr. Master has received several honors and awards for his cancer research.
Professional Affiliations
Dr. Master holds memberships in the American College of Physicians, American Society of Hematology and American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is a member of the American Association of Cancer Research and Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Master is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.
