Dr. Gregory Blanton has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology in Shreveport-Bossier since 1998. He has developed an excellent reputation for using minimally invasive procedures when a hysterectomy is needed. He is committed to continuing his education on the latest innovations in laparoscopic hysterectomies.

A lifelong resident of Northwest Louisiana, Dr. Blanton finished medical school at age 23. His family has been dedicated to health care for generations. The Blanton Memorial Health Unit in Springhill, LA is named in honor of his uncle. His parents are Springhill residents. He and his partner, Dr. Scott Robertson, are cousins.
Following medical school, Dr. Blanton studied general surgery at Shreveport’s LSU Health Sciences Center before moving to Pensacola, Florida to learn about specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. He rose through the ranks to become Chief resident a Sacred Heart Hospital there. He moved home to Louisiana in 1998.
