Dr. Woerner is an assistant professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at LSU Health Shreveport Health Sciences Center. She is originally from Florida, but has called Louisiana her home since 2006. Dr. Woerner graduated from Florida Southern College before attending the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she earned her doctorate of dental medicine. She then moved to Shreveport in 2006 to begin her residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center. Her training included the completion of her medical degree in 2009 and completion of her internship in general surgery in 2010. Following graduation from her residency, she completed a fellowship in cleft lip/palate and craniofacial surgery under Dr. G.E. Ghali.

When not busy with her career she enjoys spending time with her family. Dr. Woerner and her husband have one child. In her spare time she also enjoys physical fitness, volleyball, fishing and cooking, making her life at home as interesting and varied as her professional life.
