Longtime internal medicine partners Ashok R. Kompelli, MD, and Kenneth C. Fitzgerald, MD, have joined Willis Knighton Tri-State Medical Clinic, part of the Willis Knighton Physician Network.  Their offices will be located at 2251 Greenwood Road, Suite 410, where they will treat a wide range of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and other metabolic conditions.

Dr. Kompelli graduated from American University of the Caribbean. His clinical residency was at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. He acknowledges he had opportunities to go into different medical specialties but says, “I wanted to take care of primary care and preventive care.”  

“I’m a people person. I take care of everybody,” he says.

Dr. Fitzgerald was raised in Indiana and relocated to Louisiana, where he graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. His clinical residency training was at the same location.

He prides himself on meeting patients where they are: “You can come as you are … whatever it is, well, you know, we’ll deal with it and whatever it takes to make your life better,” he says. “I like to sit and look at people and talk with them and treat people they way they want to be treated.”

Drs. Kompelli and Fitzgerald accept new patients and most insurance plans.
