A $10,000 donation by Willis Knighton Health to Volunteers for Youth Justice will help link at-risk families to valuable resources within the community.
The health organization continues to exhibit its giving spirit by investing in worthy organizations and activities.
Volunteers for Youth Justice is a volunteer based, community supported nonprofit organization whose mission is to help children, youth and families in crisis. It was established in 1981 with the goal of providing intervention services to children involved
in the juvenile justice system.
Willis Knighton’s donation toward the nonprofit’s Truancy Assessment Service Center (TASC) program will help VYJ identify and help resolve chronic absenteeism in Caddo Parish schools. Statistics show more than 3,000 K-5 students are truant.
Willis Knighton Health’s tithe-the-bottom line philosophy of giving makes the health organization a vital community partner that elevates the health and quality of life of people who live here.
