Taeyong Choi, MD, has joined the John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center at Willis-Knighton and WK Advanced Surgery Center, part of the Willis-Knighton Physician Network. Dr. Choi specializes in transplant surgeries of the liver, kidney and pancreas.
Dr. Choi earned his medical degree in South Korea, followed by his first residency and fellowship training in the country. He completed a second surgery residency in Ohio and a second fellowship in abdominal organ transplantation at Ochsner Multi-Organ
Transplant Institute in New Orleans. He is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and has certified fellowship training recognized by the American Society of Transplant Surgery.
Dr. Choi recognizes most of his patients have complex medical problems that require complex medical solutions. He shares his expert medical opinion when patients ask but respects their freedom to make their own medical decisions.
The John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center is located at 2751 Albert Bicknell Drive, Suite 4A, on the campus of Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport. WK Advanced Surgery Center is located in Suite 2B. Dr. Choi joins Gazi Zibari, MD, Neeraj
Singh, MD, Hosein Shokouh-Amiri, MD, David Dies, MD, Robert McMillan, MD, Donnie Aultman, MD, and Veron Brown, MD, MBA, at the transplant center. He’ll join Drs. Zibari, Shokouh-Amiri, Aultman and McMillan at the surgery center.
