Miles A. Sugar II, MD, FACS, FSVS, RPVI, has joined Willis-Knighton Physician Network and established WK Vascular Surgery. Dr. Sugar treats adults with vascular diseases such as aneurysms, peripheral artery disease (PAD) and other chronic conditions.
Dr. Sugar graduated summa cum laude with a degree in chemistry from Millsaps College before returning home to attend medical school and complete a residency in general surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport School of Medicine. He followed his residency with a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
“The patient care aspect of vascular surgery spoke to me because you can make an immediate difference in someone’s quality of life,” Dr. Sugar says. “It’s very much patient centered care.”
WK Vascular Surgery is located on the campus of Willis-Knighton Medical Center. Dr. Sugar accepts new patients and most insurance plans.
