Mary Catherine “Katie” Aranda, MD, has joined WK Children’s Health Specialists, part of the Willis-Knighton Physician Network. Dr. Aranda specializes in developmental assessments and diagnosis of children with developmental and behavioral disorders such as autism, developmental delays, and atypical behaviors possibly related to genetics, prematurity and/or chronic illness.
A graduate of the University of Virginia, Dr. Aranda attended medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She completed a pediatric residency at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, followed by a three year developmental-behavioral pediatrics fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington state.
Dr. Aranda is passionate about vulnerable children and their families and fosters a team approach to help young patients reach their full potential, working with parents, other pediatricians, therapists, early intervention specialists and teachers.
