Dakota Boston, MD, has joined Endocrine & Thyroid Specialists, and will practice at the Shreveport location in the Medical Arts Building at WK Pierremont. He is American Board certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine.

As an endocrinologist, Dr. Boston specializes in treatment of diabetes, obesity, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, pituitary disorders, adrenal gland issues, low testosterone in men and estrogen replacement in post-menopausal women.

A graduate of Byrd High School and LSUS, Dr. Boston earned his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at the same location.

Dr. Boston is skilled at building relationships with patients. His gift of rapport is beneficial as he teaches patients about their health conditions and guides them toward the best treatment options available. He believes patient treatment should be a team effort involving the patient. “Your role as a patient is to help identify what your specific goals are for care and to take steps in between visits to reach those,” he said.
