Amanda Williams, MD, FACOG, who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, has joined the Willis-Knighton Physician Network and established a new practice, WK Women’s Health Specialists of Bossier. Her clinic is in the Medical Arts Building at WK Bossier Health Center, 2400 Hospital Drive, Suite 400.
A native of Webster Parish, Dr. Williams graduated from Sibley High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at LSU Shreveport and then earned her medical degree and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport. She comes to Willis-Knighton after a decade-long practice in Minden, Louisiana, as well as time spent as a hospital-based physician in Tyler, Texas.
“Working in the hospital, I realized how much I missed developing patient relationships in private practice,” she says. WK Women’s Health Specialists is a general OB-GYN practice, so Dr. Williams welcomes patients from adolescence through all phases of adulthood.
“My perfect day would involve a couple hours in clinic, a delivery and a surgery because that would encompass all the things I love about OB-GYN,” she says.
Dr. Williams welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
