T. Ryan Palmer, MD, a Shreveport native, has joined Amit Ahuja, MD, at Pinnacle Gastroenterology. Their clinic is in the Medical Arts Building on the campus of Willis-Knighton Medical Center, 2551 Greenwood Road, Suite 350, in Shreveport.
A graduate of Caddo Magnet High School, Dr. Palmer received his degree in biology from LSU Shreveport in 1996 and his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2000. He also performed a gastroenterology fellowship at LSUHSC. He has been practicing locally for more than a decade, including serving veterans at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport.
“When my patients come to see me, I want them to feel welcome and that it’s a one-on-one relationship,” Dr. Palmer says. “They will receive the best care I can possibly give.” He is certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Palmer is proficient in various GI procedures including colonoscopy, EGD and ERCP. He treats diseases such as GERD, peptic ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease. He has special interest in weight loss, nutrition and removing complex colon polyps.
