Joseph A. Bocchini, MD, director of Willis-Knighton Children’s Health Services, co-presented the seminar “Evaluation and Management of the Child with a Limp” during the National Conference and Exhibition of the American Academy of Pediatrics held in October in New Orleans. Presenting with Dr. Bocchini was pediatric orthopedic surgeon Dale Jarka, MD, from Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
The seminar reviewed the clinical characteristics, evaluation and management of children with a limp due to infections and rheumatological disorders.
Dr. Bocchini, a member of the AAP’s Section on Infectious Diseases, also gave a focused topic presentation entitled “What the General Pediatrician Needs to Know about Biological Response Modulators.”
