Gazi Zibari, MD, director of the Willis-Knighton John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center, is an editor of a newly published book about transplant surgery.
The book, “Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Transplant Surgery: Practical Management of Dilemmas,” was published by the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and was written as a resource to enhance quality care for patients.
Other editors of the book – all distinguished surgeons from throughout the United States – include Quyen D. Chu, MD, MBA, professor of surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport.
Dr. Zibari is the immediate past president of AHPBA. The association has established the Gazi Zibari Global Outreach Humanitarian Award in recognition of his “outstanding humanitarian contributions abroad and to honor his passion for medical outreach.”
