PillCam™ Capsule Endoscopy
The PillCam™ capsule endoscopy uses innovative visualization technology to produce clear images of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, and colon. This noninvasive platform allows our doctors to detect GI abnormalities, monitor disease activity, and assess treatment. With the PIllCam capsule, there is no need to go through a lengthy procedure. You simply swallow a capsule (about the size of a vitamin) that contains a miniature camera that records the inside of your small bowel. Using this information, the doctor can see problems that are not visible in other diagnostic tests.
