Come See the Future of Heart Care
Most heart cath procedures are routine but there are times when a problem is identified and a patient requires surgery. That means changing locations and doctors. Could there be a more efficient way to handle these cases? Yes! Like many of the nation’s most prestigious heart programs, Willis-Knighton is adding a Hybrid Room to the Heart & Vascular Institute. This unique room integrates a surgical operating room with advanced imaging, allowing interventional cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons to cooperate on procedures for patients who need advanced minimally invasive surgery as well as more complex surgeries.
Join us for an open house for the new Hybrid Room at the Heart & Vascular Institute on Tuesday, July 17, from 1 to 3 p.m.
The most sophisticated and comprehensive heart services in the Ark-La-Tex are available at the Willis-Knighton Heart & Vascular Institute.
Willis-Knighton has been at the forefront of cardiac services and has introduced to the area many of the innovative services now considered “standard of care.” Among our many “firsts” have been stents (included drug-coated stents) and dual chamber pacemaker. In fact, Willis-Knighton performs more heart surgeries, heart catheterizations and angioplasties than any other area hospital. As a result of our innovation, vendors of cardiac equipment programs choose Willis-Knighton to introduce services to patients in the region.
The Heart & Vascular Institute’s main location at 2727 Hearne Avenue is adjacent to Willis-Knighton Medical Center. It includes advanced cardiac catheterization and noninvasive laboratories, a dedicated electrophysiology laboratory, heart hospital and physician offices. The Heart Institute also provides services at WK Bossier Health Center and WK Pierremont Health Center.
Willis-Knighton was named to Top 100 Hospitals in America – Cardiovascular by Solucient in 2005 and 2006.
Willis-Knighton is an accredited Chest Pain Center.
