While Willis-Knighton offers a broad range of surgical services at its four general hospitals, it also features specialized outpatient surgery centers.
- Heart & Vascular Institute Hybrid Surgical Suite – A specialized operating suite allows the collaboration of cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons, speeding the time to provide surgical intervention to heart patients. It is located at Willis-Knighton Medical Center.
- John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center – This unique center offers kidney, liver and pancreas transplants and is the only center of its kind north of New Orleans. It is located at Willis-Knighton medical Center. Click to learn more.
- WK Eye Surgery Center – The oldest and most experienced eye surgery center in our region supports a wide range of eye procedures with the region’s most advanced technology. It is located at Willis-Knighton Medical Center.
- WK Ambulatory Surgery Center – Pierremont – Located at the WK Orthopedic & Sports
- Pediatric Surgery Center - Specialized surgical services for children are available at Willis-Knighton South, which is home to three surgeons who are uniquely trained in children’s surgical needs. Other pediatric procedures are also available at Pierremont and Bossier.
- Medicine Center in the WK Portico Center, this surgery center offers outpatient surgery for orthopedics and a wide range of other surgical procedures.
- WK Bossier Medical Pavilion Surgery Center – A variety of outpatient surgery services are available in Bossier at this location.
- Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence – This is available at Willis-Knighton Medical Center.
- Willis-Knighton Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery – Willis-Knighton is home to this institute where surgeons affiliated with our hospitals train resident surgeons in advanced methods of laparoscopic surgery.
