The museum is located at the Willis-Knighton Innovation Center, 2105 Airline Drive, in Bossier City, Louisiana.
The Talbot Museum was established in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Willis-Knighton Health System with the support of Dr. and Mrs. J. Dudley Talbot. The Talbot preserves, reveals and interprets the history of modern medicine over the past century and a half. The Talbot places special emphasis on those people, places and events that have shaped medicine in our region.
The Talbot began as a collection of artifacts and documents kept by former Willis-Knighton employees and physicians. This was combined with items from other donors to establish the museum’s collection. While the scope and exhibits have grown, The Talbot keeps its initial mission to recognize the evolution of the WK health system and the progress of medicine.
